Is this a good idea????

Ok so iv been shopping around for a decent priced 240 that isnt all ghetto and with an sr, i wana do some work on it myself and im thinking about getting this one. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/2717301506.html i was the first to ask him how much with the motor which is a blacktop with 40k on it and he told me 2500. its a 3 hour drive for to meet him about half way so i tlod him i can do 2600 if he drives 2 hours to meet me. would any of you buy this?

The pictures in the ad aren't great, so its hard to really tell the condition of the car. Pictures of the swap would also help determine value..

But its a relatively good price, assuming the statements regarding rust are true, and the swap is in good running condition and was properly done..

welll it doesnt run, it has to have the engine wiring harness put in and i had the guy text me picks and it took like a week for him to do and the pics are teribble, but i just got news that a 240 showed up at our local junk yard cuz the strut tower is busted. guna go take a look

This is very important when determining value, with that said... that is without a doubt overpriced

dont rush into someone else's torn up project.. keep looking.. and im not sure the junkyard is the next best step..

well im just guna take a look at the one in the junkyard cuz 240's are really hard to come by in northern michigan

Yea well expand your 240 search... look in all of michigan... If you cant do the tow (if a shell) You can always rent a uhaul tow dolly and find a car to tow the 240 back to your house... idk this 240 is DEF. overpriced... Like babbob said i dont think a junkyard is the best place to buy a 240 either!
