i found this on ebay, i was wondering if the parts that the motor is missing can be acquired easily?

it needs:ECUHarness ( the one that came with it was cut)MAFSand maybe other things.

but the engine is close and not a whole lot of money.

if these parts are hard to source Ill just wait until venus get back at their shop and get a clip from them for 1200$ + shipping!(which isnt a bad deal either!)

Is it a 20 or 25? Depending on the price, you should be able to get the stuff for cheaper than buying a complete motorset, although the down time will kill you.

On that note, let me tell you all something. I was talking to my friend who was recently stationed in Japan with the Air Force, and he has told me about the engine prices there, which make me want to cry. Im talking 250-300 bux for an RB20. Now, that pisses me off , because I know for a fact shipping is not anywhere near 700 for these engines, which means importers are making a killing at their business.

I wonder if there is a market for KA's in Japan ;)

ps, theres an RB20 ecu on ebay right now for like 185 or so, overpriced if you ask me.

hey skillzilla i am in the air force over here in okinawa. we just replaced a rb20 det in a friends skyline. it cost us $180. average price for a rb20 is 200-300 and a rb25 i bought mine for 300 with computer and wiring harness. the ka 24e comes in a large van over here. me and a friend were thinkin about puttin one in his laurel over here. u need the head from the stateside car though b/c of the distributor and other minor things. yeah i agree they are robbing yall over there. but as for a market for them sorry that would be cool for yall though.

I was stationed at Kadena Ab Okinawa 1984-1987. You guys are not kidding about the prices. They seem to throw away cars like leftovers in the refrigerator. Most of the cars in the wrecking yards were most likely driven in!
