I've been looking through the want ads and there's only one s14 in there. (that's what i'm looking for.) here's the ad... is this a good deal or should i keep looking? i wanna at least go check it out...

"95 NISSAN 240SX. 2.4L. Green that changes to purple & blue in the sun [i'm assuming chromeillusion/chameleon paint], 15" alloys, HKS Drager exhaust, header, K&N intake, Eclipse CD player, MB Quartz 5.25 components. $7200/obo."

I am going to call him to find out about miles/transmission. I realllly hope it's a 5 speed. The miles won't matter that much because I'm planning on doing a redtop SR20DET swap anyways. Is the HKS drager exhaust a good turbo exhaust (for the SR) or should I buy a different? I'm hoping this is a good deal because there are VERY few 240s (s14s at least) in the area. I saw one today, and i saw a 97-98 on the highway a few weeks ago and those are the only two I've seen around here. (I live about 20 minutes south of Boston.) Let me know what you think. I'll post again once I talk to him. Thanks a lot.

i have that color car. mine is a '95 as well. the color is called blue emerald i believe. that price is kinda high, even for a car w/ low miles. its still a 7 year old car, so that price is up there. sounds like a good deal tho. check the piping diameter of that exhaust. if it is AT LEAST like 2. 75", then it would support turbo. you need 3" exhaust piping tho for most performance.

yeah, it did seem kind of high but i could see how much i could talk him down to. somewhere in the 6k-something range. i'm hoping the exhaust on it is turbo-worthy because i'd rather keep the current one than have to sell it and buy a new one for the SR. I am going to call him this evening (hopefully), but if not.. then tomorrow definitely. he's located in southern NH so it's just a little over an hour and a quarter drive. i figure if i'm gonna make the trip it'd better be worth it.

Not true. YOu don't need 3" or even 2.75." For a low HP turbo motor (like a relatively stock SR20), 2.5" is enough. YOu only need more than 2.5" when you're going about 230ish HP.

well i plan on getting the car up over 230HP so i'll probably need some rather large piping. i'm planning on a 3" downpipe so i'll probably get around 3" anyways. if it's less than i will just leave it on until i start doing mods.
