Tell me if this is a good deal. $700 for a S14 SR20DET motor only, without turbo (was planning on replacing anyways), needs rebuild... spun rod bearing, crankshaft needs to be machined, and comes with pretty much everything else. That's what he's told me so far, picture coming soon. Need someone's help since I am sort of a NOOB. What do you think I should do????

i wouldnt unless you want to do a complete rebuild with bored/sleeved piston..when i threw a rod bearing, it took a chunk of metal to the cyclinder

yea you should pass this because you dont know how bad the crank is or if you need new rods and everything like that. it could be alot worse, youl end up spending enough fixing this one to by one from a shop with a turbo. try appliedforce.com they are in hagerstown. if a guy named joe answers ask for sombody els or you wont have a motor for a whil.

Thats a horrible deal, you can get a complete longblock with turbo, for $1250 shipped. I got mine from osakajdmmotors.com most people hates that place on this forum, but all my motors that I got from them have been very clean and nothing wrong with them, but they tend to forget to ship parts like maf, ignitor switch... just have to call and call and call... but besides that I'm very satisfied with the quality of motors they gave me.
