Hi, I was on craigslist and saw a 5 speed v6 standard 1986 nissan 300zx for sale for $1800. It has 165k miles on it, brand new tires with less than 2,000 miles on them. No leaks in the t-top and no rust. Upon further talking with the seller, he said the only things it needs are some exhaust work (very vague, i know), rear brake pads, and a drivers side window motor. I would be planning on selling this car as soon as possible, i would not be driving it. I would be getting an inspection by a mechanic if i choose to purchase it, but given the info given do you guys think 1800 is a fair price? is there some room for profit and is there demand for this car?

thank you very much in advanced,
-Matt

not imo... you will end up losing money after you fix all the problems.

It's an 86 n/a. Not a very sought after car, for 1800 it sounds like a decent driver. It's not the car someone wanting to build a screamer should start from and it's already at retail price, with everything fixed it's maybe a 2k car. So no, no profit.
