Is this a good DEAl??? a 90,000mile Ka34de engine for 700$

I finally found some guys who is going to swap his engine, well I needed your guys advice first, should I get a 90,000mile Ka34de engine for 700$ I mean I could try to look around, I still got like a month so what do you guys think I should do, the engine sounds really good and in good condition, only he gases it alot messing around with it! Any expert opinions????????????????

no, thats a **** deal.

i paid 500 dollars for a KA once, and it only has 62xxx miles. 500 is higher than i wanted to pay, and its not even that great of a deal.

200 dollars for a KA is more right. i got one for that price with 120,xxx, but i had to put new bearings in it immediately. so to replace the seals i wanted to and the main and rod bearings, i was still in at under 500 dollars.

700 dollars would be good for a KA34DE, but since 3.4 liter KAs dont exist, i would tell them that 500 is more your spending territory.

I pick up ka's for 3-400 with just over 100k they come with everything on them as well and wiring harness.... Say his is worth 500

sounds high to me. I paid 450 for one with approx 100,000 on it.

I paid $500 for my 98' motorset, it had only 42,xxx miles on it, and it came with a 5 speed transmission.

yeah man, it did sound a little f****d up... I guess I will search around more, I am gong to try and lower the price on it, if not then I will keep the search... hey how much does it usually cost to swap in a motor???? I am getting charged 200$ is that ok?

$200 for labor to install is a deal if it is a reputable shop doing the work.

700 for a ka34de is a deal where can u ever find that motor!!!!i paid 300 for my ka24de with 50xxx miles on it and had everthing on the engine still...and 200$ for labor is a bomb *** deal i would pay that person to it in a heart beat...where u from, i cant find no one to do a motor swap for the cheap!!!good luck!!!

I'm gettign a ka24de motor with 110k on it, comes with wiring harness,ecu, and cluster....brought to me for under $500

there isnt one, you couldnt put enough bore or stroke to get that done.

Thomas Knight's shop he's using was going to build a 3.0L KA if i remember correctly, which i think is about as large as you can get without getting entirely ridiculous with it, if its even possible

no man yo getting rip off you can go to a salvage yard and get a parts car for 450 with everything still in it thats what i did and im going to rebuild the engine and it only had 200,000 on it
