Its only a good deal if you really want those exact subs. RF is great, but thats mainly the power series. the punch series is the entry level. p1's arent gonna do much for you. If youre looking for a starter system, theyre one of many options you have, but for the money id get on ebay and grab one 12" p3, or even better for a bit more an alpine type r for $14 more.

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to order these.

I want a system but don't want to get ripped off or buy crappy pieces.

I would actually pay you to NOT put P1's in your car... well not really, but that's how weak they are.... Honestly, no BS, I wouldn't put them in my car if they were free and Rockford paid me to!So no, don't get these

Still not the greatest deal. It would be worth it to save up just a bit more and get away from the RF punch subs. On top of that, you'd have a tough time getting that enclosure in the trunk of an A/C. You'd have to lay it down and have the subs firing vertically. The dimensions state it's 15" tall, which will not cut it in our trunks.

Does it really make a difference what way they're facing?

Not really. My point was just that that is a huge enclosure that you'd be trying to fit in a small trunk.

Ah, didn't think so. I just wasn't sure.

I haven't really measured the trunk so I don't know what size enclosure we need.

I can't measure mine anymore since it is not the same as anyone else's. However, I can tell you that the box will need to be small. If I remember correctly from what others were posting, there's only about 12" from the 6x9's down. Makes for a very tight squeeze for any box that isn't custom made.

Actually, if you're looking to just put some bump in the trunk at minimal price, I completely forgot that I still have some old gear in my parent's basement (they called me to ask when I was going to get rid of it). I could be mistaken on the model numbers, but I'm pretty sure I've got a pair of 12" JBL woofers (GT1200) and I know for sure the amp is a Profile Clarus (CL600M). Both of these should perform better than the deal you posted. Let me know if you're interested in any way (then I could get back there and take some pics and make sure everything fires up by testing in my car).

Mods, I know this should probably be in the marketplace, but I'm not really posting this for sale. This is more directed specifically at BlackNWhite

Woah, thanks man.

Yea, I'm interested. What would the price range be roughly?

And shipped to 91706.

I'll have to check what I still have at my parents house. I'll be heading over there tomorrow and I'll grab everything so I can try to figure out shipping (no idea what that'll run off the top of my head). Pretty sure I have the following (and *should* have original boxes an manuals):

-Profile Clarus CL600M amplifier-2x JBL GT1200 12" subs-1/2 Farad cap (probably Fosgate, completely not needed for any installation, but it wont hurt anything - probably wont help much either - but I can throw that in)-potentially some wiring (maybe the RCA's and quite possibly some power cable - I think 4 AWG - including a fuse/holder)-dual 12" MDF enclosure (this would almost certainly be too tall to fit under the 6x9s with the subs facing towards the trunk opening, but might fit with the subs firing upwards so I'll measure dimensions - I can ship this too but the shipping cost will probably be outrageous)

Let me verifiy tomorrow that I do have all this stuff and that everything is still functional. I'll give you all of the above (assuming I still have all of that and it is all functional) for like $75 plus shipping (like I said, not set in stone until I make sure everything is of good quality, not looking to rip anyone off here). If you don't want some of the stuff, that price will obviously drop. Plus if shipping seems too pricey, I'll work something out to split it with you.

Ok, I took a half-day tomorrow to get a bunch of stuff done. I'll get the gear and double check that everything works (don't see any reason why it shouldn't since it did when I pulled it from my old car and it's been in the exact same spot since). I'll get some pics and hopefully a video to show that everything is working. When I get to that, I'll move this discussion to email as not to waste space on these forums (especially since I think you and I are the only ones interested in this). Hopefully I'll have some more info to you tomorrow night!

I mean, I have the Sedan with the same subs you are originally looking at but the P2's. In that coupe that isn't going to fit.

The company is an hour away. I can go pick them up! Sucks that they took so long to ship yours though.
