It only has 200 km on it, and they're selling it as new (so the warrantee hasn't started ticking away yet). This strikes me as a little high -- but I suppose with tax and such, it might be reasonable? I think he was saying about $26,500 for the car itself. Would this be a good deal? I'm having trouble comparing apples to apples while taking into account depreciation for the older model year. Does anyone know what invoice cost is for a 2008 AWD SL Premium? Looking forward to joining the Rogue family!

I think that's a fairly decent price to pay. I purchased my S AWD at invoice in August 2008 and with tax and freight it was about 31,000.

The price you got quoted for seems very reasonable. I bought my car through http://www.dealfinder.org and they did all the negotiating on my behave. There is an upfront fee of $150 but these guys are very reliable. I think the person has connections with the manufactures and thus is able to get the car at cost, you may want to see the price that they can get for you.

Once the deal is done, you just go to the dealership to sign the papers and away you go.

Good deal! I ended up buying the 09, white with leather and tech for $34,500 all in.

Hi KCS! You didn't mention whether it had Leather interior or not. "If" it has leather interior then the price $26,500 ( $23,027 US Dollars) is a great price and would indicate he's selling it below invoice. If it has Cloth interior its still a good price because he is selling about $100 over his cost. Its an even better price if that is your cost "out the door" (i.e. "no" additional money due).

That said... other factors you may want to consider is some of the 2008 AWD models had CVT problems that were later corrected. Some 2008's had their transmissions changed out 2 and 3 times! Like Flybooey reports in this thread: zer...ge=16

For this reason, not knowing the date any particular 2008 still on the lot was manufactured and not knowing the exact date in 2008 that Nissan corrected the problem I decided to wait for the prices on the 2009s to soften up. I didn't want to end up like the first post on this page: zer...age=7

Since the 2010's will be out in about 2 months the dealers are starting to be more flexible on the price. Yesterday I got a 2009 for $330 over dealer invoice.

Thanks Elton, for your very detailed reply! As per my post above, I decided on an '09 AWD SL with leather and tech -- I made my purchase last week, on the last day of the month, and I'm happy with the deal I got. The original '08 price was for the Canadian premium package, which does not include leather. I believe our Canadian packages and pricing are slightly different than those in the US, even figuring in the exchange rate. The "fully loaded" Canadian AWD SL has every option except the nav system you mentioned... which I haven't seen up here (though maybe other dealers are offering it). Thanks again for sharing!
