I called TOp hat today trying to see if they had any direct replacement turbo kits and they didnt . But guy told me i can use T28 off S15 and it will bolt right on . Unfortunately he didnt sound so sure so does anyone know if is that true can someone confirm this for me before i go order one ? compressor size is same on ceramic vs T28 ?

i am not looking for an upgrade just a direct replacement turbo with which i wil not have to adjust fuel /ignition system.

How is it going to bolt up to the manifold? I thought S15 turbos has T25 flange whereas we have T3 flange manifold?

ok thanks!just to make sure i get it right...everything else on T3/T4 is pretty much identical to the Ceraic turbo? as far as compressor size flow and everything bolting up as if it was factory. is that correct?

Top Hat isn't the best shop to use for advice . They don't have the best knowledge of RB's around...

That's probably why Scott Buwalda entrusted his 260SX project to Top Hat...

...in which he had spent several thousand man hours on, not mention built the motor himself, and had Top Hat in on the final debugging and startup. Please see the install team listing for more details:

if you've been in the game a while you know what shops know their stuff and what shops dont, top hat is ok but when i talked to mike at nopi he kinda snubbed me when i was trying to talk to him about where he was taking the shop with the rb swaps.if you've been here since the night7 fiasco then you would know whats up lol.

I was one of the guys that helped Scott install the RB in his car. All Top Hat did was fab up the intercooler piping, and then they tried to say the car was their own car. I have been to the shop, and it isn't professional at all. There are usually a bunch of people in the shop that don't work there, and shady looking people hanging around outside. You can say what you want, but I have been there and I have seen their work, and it isn't up to par...

You can use the T3 with a spacer, and you guys are right, it will hit the manifold without it. Sorry about the miscommunication on the turbo but we a few new guys here due to growing pains. As for the comment of shady guys hanging out at my shop and the lie about us saying we built Scott's car, Its funny how the owner of the car has no problem with us but the guys who "helped" do. Noone ever said we built that car.If its posted somewhere, maybe you can show me. It was on my site because we sourced parts, made the mounts, did I/C pipe and helped with wiring for free. Did I ever tell you I built the car Derrick or are you just spreading gossip? When did you come to my shop? Was I not here?Carl, sorry I snubbed you. I was probably just tired. As for where we are taking RBs. We want to be the first company in the US to offer a RB crate motor. The KAs have been great and now we are doing some SRs. Not sure what you mean about the Knight7 fiasco. They sold our mounts and we still sell the same mounts. Going on the 355th set now. Thats alot of RBs. Hard to believe there are that many around!!Sorry if I busted in your post. Just thought Id clear a few things up.Thanks, Mike

It's funny how on the SEDA website you posted that Scott's car was one of your shop cars. You later recanted and took down the pics... Pics that weren't supposed to be out till after the car was done in the first place. I had pics of Scott's car a long time ago and didn't post them due to his wishes. You somehow couldn't compprehend this and posted away.

If there was some confusion on Scott's car I think that it is between Top Hat and Scott, not you and Top Hat. I have spoken to Scott and he has no problems with anything that transpired. Do you want him to post here too?? This has been addressed by Scott himself on the web and I wonder why you keep posting this anyway? If you have a problem with my shop thats fine, no shop will make everybody happy, but stop telling lies. You only hurt the whole Nissan community when you do. Go ahead, post some more BS. Just try and make it something true. Now back to those shady characters. When did you come to my shop? If this is Stubby, you didnt. Another lie? Probably.I have no problems with anyone not likeing me or my shop but I think auctual customers should form an opinion and post it. That's fair but for someone to pass on a bad opinion just to talk, that's wrong. I'm sure I have made a few people mad over the years, no way around it but I try to be a fair person and run a fair shop.

This is hurting the whole community? How is that? Just because I don't like the way you run your shop isn't going to hurt the community. you stating that tells a lot about you. You have often thought of yourself as the know all end all of the Atlanta area, and this just enforces that. I have been to your shop 3 times in fact Mike. Your to arrogant for your own good Mike and thats a fact. I am done with this thread...
