Well, i just recently picked up a 240sx vert and got it quite cheap. However, the reason for it being cheap was a blown engine and i beleive a new transmission wouldnt hurt either. Well I found a KA out of milwaukee at a used part dealer. It has 43,000 miles on it and it is a de, and i believe it comes with a five speed transmission. Now is this a good buy if I can talk them down to $700, plus i'll be driving through the area meaning I can pick it up in addition?

Also, i've been searching all these forums quite a bit and correct me if i'm wrong, but could I reach 225-250ish horsepower on the stock ka and an aftermarket turbo kit with a relatively low psi, anywhere from 7-11psi? and what turbo may be the best choice for that goal?

Heres a quick pic of the car by the way-

cool vert. is that roadkill stuck in the front wheel?

$700 for an engine and transmission w/43k miles sounds okay, not great but good enough to buy unless theres some issues. what year is the ka?

I would pay that much only id I saw the engine running before hand and had it compression checked. Also a ffew shifts with the transmission. I just paid 300 for motor only. Typicla range with transmission is no more than 400 but usually it's with 100k plus motor. But that 43k motor might be worse than this 100k i just picked up....
