Got to looking, and my ECU has "CA18DE" written on it by the shipper. It has big 98 on it, and then below that it has23710 36F00MEC-D*03 D 8630

The * is scratched so I can't read the character. Any thoughts?

hum, I might be wrong, but I believe 79 is RWD ca18det and 78 is AWD ca18det, but not 100% sure, I believe this subject has been discussed in the past, give the search a try and see what kind of results it throws back at you.

I have couple ca18de ecus and couple ca18det at home, I will check for you when I get there

I will check mine when I get home seeing as I have 2. The good thing is that the right ecus are cheap.

Well, I looked on eBay and there is a Mine's ECU that has a 98 on it. And there is another ECU that has a 99 on it.

Ok, I check both ca18de ecus and one says 28 while the other has 27 on it, mind you that these came off a nissan pulsar from Canada not Japan.
