i just bought a set of SR 370cc injectors off someone in the classifieds. the guy lived near me so i went to pick them up. i examined them and they looked fine to me. purple top injectors, o-rings looked good... it was dark when i got them. i paid him $75 bucks and i drove home. after i got home, i looked at the injectors again and at the TIP of the injector where there looks like 4 tiny plastic teeth curve in at the tip of the injector... one of the teeth is broken off! is this injector still good to use or will it leak?!?!

they are called pintle caps. one of the four wont be a problem. never was for me when i used side feed injectors.

check out our sponsor destcheworks. he will clean, flow, balance, replace orings and pintle caps for about $50 with 1-2 day turn around. he did this for geo on his 370cc injectors. one of his injectors was slightly leaky and he fixed that also. definitly worth the money

yeah, if you all need injectors cleaned, we are the place to do it (infact i remember cleaning and flowtesting a set of 370cc injectors, but never really put 2 and 2 together)

we are also currently running a nico special on our injector service

zerothread?id=138400

glad you were happy with the service.

and to sunny, i wouldnt' be worried about the pintle cap having a tooth being broken off, but i would at least get it and the o-rings (if you didn't do it alraedy) replaced as it is a bad idea to run used o-rings, you can get the o-rings from us, i will have to ask dave if he would send pintle caps seperatly as well though since this is usually somethig we replace with our injector service.

also, make sure to lube the o-rings before installing the injectors

if you have any questions you can e-mail me @ [email protected] or you can get ahold of david at [email protected]

What kind of lube should you use when replacing o-rings?

Lots of ppl like to use vasaline... some use motor oil. I used motor oil since it was more readily available... and I didn't want my dirty *** hands messing up the vasaline bottle.
