I jsut got offered a silver, rust free, 5 speed 240sx coupe, with every single option available for the year, for 1400 US.

It has 172K miles on the clock.

A steal? OR stolen?

Do you know the seller? I'll never buy anything from anybody that I don't know well enough to know they won't screw me. I haven't bought anything in a while.:D Don't do it if you don't know the seller. Run a carfax report and be on the lookout for severe damage/accidents.

The miles are high....

One project at a time, my son.

i'm going to look into it a bit more. take it for a spin.

body wise its in great shape, no rust at all especially compared to my 89 which is eat out like crazy :)

i took a quick look, it had power everything, moonroof, ac, HUD, 5 speed and leather. thats all I could tell from the few minutes I took a look at it.

it might need some major repair job soon, one that pops in my head is timing chain. It's got relatively lots of miles, so the price is not outrageously low, it sounds like a fair deal, but make sure you drive it first, and if possible try cranking it when the engine is cold, that's the easiest way to detect a timing chain problem, it's easier to hear the rattle in cold engines.

like the great SmithSR said, one project at a time. I think I'm going to hold off and get my rust bucket on the road full swing.
