Ive been looking for a car for a while. Havent really had any luck on good deals. I was looking all over for something around $1000-$1200...was looking at CRXs, integras, eclipses and celicas but never was looking for a 240 but it just so happened that my friend is selling her 240 to me for $800.
It is a 1993 hatchback with 163,xxx miles. decent body, good interior and what not. Its an automatic but doesnt really matter because i dont fix up cars anyways (I rather put money into my r6). Nothing known wrong mechanically except for a very slight power steering fluid leak. And it is however a SALVAGE title. Keep in mind im really only looking for a side vehicle, my motorcycle is my main form of commute.
So all that for a simple question...do you guys think its worth it?

not sure if youve been in the back seat of a 240 hatch but its very uncomfortable so not sure if your planning on carrying 3 more full size adults a lot because they would be very cramped. as for carrying things it should be fine just make sure the hatch doesnt leakdiet wrote:Honestly I'm not real good with cars but i know many people that can help me out mechanically on cars.
Yeah, just to clarify i wouldnt drive the car unless it's raining or if its super cold (rarely here in SF) or if i needed to carry extra passengers or packages which probably would come out to an average of 2-3 times a week.
hmm.. I didn't even know Miatas had backseats..Veriest1 wrote:The backseat in a 240sx is only slightly more useful than the backseat in a Miata.

My car has a salvage title and it's just because the previous owner claimed it for hail damage... BUT, my car was $200.S13Joe wrote:Figure out why it has a salvage title and go from there. I would never buy a car with a salvage title, just not my thing.
