Is it too much for a car with an engine that doesn't really work?
I consider myself mechanically inclined, but I've never done an engine rebuild and don't mind experimenting and learning, especially since KA's show up for sale often and for cheap, and there's always the sr20 option, even though I'd like to keep the ka.
I'm thinking this would be like buying a shell with spare engine/engine parts (maybe even a fixable engine)...
What do you guys think?
I would put the link but, craigslist is blocked at my job, so i'm quoting it. I printed a pdf and pulled the pics from it.
S13 5sp with pig nose. It has a ka24de swap, with rod knock. Car runs and drives,
but has bad compression to stay on. It must be towed. I have all the parts necessary
to rebuild the motor using the same block. Has a new clutch, lowered in the front
with springs, aftermarket header, a aftermarket cold air arm and pulleys. This is a
great project car if someone wants to keep the motor or swap it out. The car is old,
so it has a cracked dash and faded paint.

Thanks
