Run the vin through the local Infiniti dealership to get a record of it's service history and let that help make your decision.
The Acura is over priced. KBB for a 2003 Acura TL Type-S with 134k miles is $7,627. There are also complaints about this years transmissions.

Audtatious,
Yeah i agree with the Acura being a bit overpriced than KBB. The guy justifies by his superior maintenance and customization:
full syn oil change every 3k miles. Premium gas always. always up to date with rec. maintenance. He put in a subwoofer and premium speakers instead of stock. He also put in a dvdplayer/navi with bluetooth connection (the system also has a 30gig HD). Also after i checked the interior - it is very hard to find any fault inside considering the mileage. no noticeable wear and tear- typically some buttons are a bit grayed out but his are all very good condition. Also i think being able to buy this car without worrying about 100k maintenance or new belt/pump is a relief as well. But right now I am favoring the infiniti for its value like you mentioned and if the interior is very nice not beat up and a mech checks it out fine( the guy also did a 100k maintenance) i would offer the infiniti instead.
With that said, since the guy is asking 8k for the infiniti, is it fair for me to ask for a lower price? would 7500 as a start be "fair" or any bargain is a bit low-balling?
