Hi Steve, welcome aboard.
First off, you need some new friends, because the one you have knows nothing about Nissans.
Quick corrections:
All transmissions in 240sx's are the same. You get an automatic or a manual, and that's it.
All USDM 240sx's had a KA24E or DE motor, not DE-T. The T signifies "turbo" and Nissan never made a factory turbo KA.
LSD = Limited Slip Differential. This is commonly referred to as the "pumpkin", or the gear housing between the rear axles.
No such thing as an "LSD transmission".
The Nissan LSD will make NO difference in gear ratios necause they are all the same. The only difference between an LSD and the differential you probably have is the LSD applies power to both rear wheels rather than one.
Those are the basics, now quit hanging out with that friend and start reading posts here - You'll learn a LOT more. Better still, invite your friend.
