Is there anyway to bypass the maf sensor?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

while I am on spring break I'm going to try and utilize some of my free time, and I just wanted to see if there is anyway to do the above mentioned.

Seeing as how that is the primary sensor for controlling fueling while cruising or partial load, I would say.... no.

Correct me if you are using a standalone.

Yeah you can do it with alot of Stnadalone units. instead of a MAF you can use a MAP sensor for an alternative, it alot easier to tune.-Alex

You could switch over to a MAP sensor: although the MAF sensor is more accuret. thay both have there pros and cons but i am sticking with the MAF sensor

The MAF sensor is not the most accurate. It is in fact the most squirrly.

The MAP is solid and doesnt have nearly as many problems associated with it.

so is it as easy as just switching over to the map sensor or not?, I'm sure that there is more involved with it, but I am not entirely sure on the subject
