is there anybody on this forum with a 500hp 240sx?

who has the fastest 240sx on this forum? how much money do you guys think it will cost to get 500hp, how much boost does it take and what do you need to make your engine to where it is safe to run like 25 psi

I know the guy that has the Phat KA-T 240 is at like 550 or something RWHP. Something at like 28 psi or something. WOW is all i can say at that.

To make your engine safe at that psi will probably involve taking it all apart and putting forged evreything in it. Something along those lines.

I think you should ask yourself if you need 500hp in a 2700lb car. I'm willing to bet on the nature of your question that you'd kill yourself in a 500hp 240sx.

but yes.. Read up... Asking how much boost u hafto run is the wrong question cause yes you can get an sr and boost 25 without 1 single bolt on..

what they said. Look at the number of posts I have. Now look at how long I've been here. Now compare that to your number of posts and how long you have been here. Just read for a while, unless you have alot of money and a shop able to finish a 500hp 240sx in a week, you can't be in that much of a hurry. Just read EVERY post, you never know where good information is hiding. And to learn more about the cars in general read pretty much every article on this site http://auto.howstuffworks.com/ Trust me, you won't know everything that they talk about so study up.

just to help you with the research I'm sure you are eager to start, the KA-T section has a post where everyone lists their current RWHP. I'm sure there is something similar for the SR section.

i dont see too many guys around here with 500 but 400 is more common.400rwhp is not as difficult to achieve. my buddies have a swap shop here in socal. it's not very expensive to do. no one wants an ugly/bad handling 400hp car. its about 10k average each of the guys here dump into hp/sufficient cooling to hit the 400rwhp mark and a lot of blood/sweat.

but everyone likes looks and drift and throws their money on suspension parts/lsd/cosmetics like wheels/aero so it adds up.

still though 400hp sounds cool and all but the 240 sucks as a drag car. gets owned by b16/b18/k2x civics... so it's not worth trying im serious lol, older american cars with a built chevy v8 block can rip apart srs like theres no tomorrow. numbers dont mean too much to me look at the supras 600-700-800-900hp... 1/4mi times are all similar same with sr..

I see you have a lot of questions but we have a tool here called SEARCH. If you can't find your answer then post. IMO, I think you need to tone it down a bit and concentrate on fixing your car before trying to boost it or make it have 500hp. That seems ridiculous right now considering in one of your threads you said it didn't pass emissions. Just my opinion.

I know a local guy that could exceed 500whp in a heart beat. Me+ john+Joe = mega hp! If i took what ever i have crammed up my A## out(blame it on Russ Goggans rna240) i could give the details on pushing the ka to new heights! Oh well, in time someone will figure it out for themselves.

This guy Kyle in town is buildin a KA-T that should make ~600whp. His setup is now makin 365 whp without breakin a sweat at 15lbs. A lot of his stuff is still at the machine shop but the machinist is telling us that he should be good for 27lbs.
