Is there any way to test ignition coils?

Basically my car has been severely abused, driven for quite a time with a cylinder misfire. Codes are:

P0300P1320

Basically its a random cylinder misfire. Now the car won't start, it cranks, but doesn't start.

Is there any way to test my coils to see which one, or more, is bad?

Replacements are $75 a peice for OEM and I can't afford all six on a part-time job and going to school.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, what is the gap for spark plugs in a 2001 QX4, I think .043?

Extra info: Cylinder 1 has a different coil then 2-6.

i know of 2 ways... you can OHM test them with a DVOM or test them with a spark tester....
