is there any way to tell if a relay is bad

i trying to fine out y my car wont start and i not have good luck battery good but im not getting power when i turn the key my fule pump dont even come on but i can turn my lights ona dnstuff like that so i was thinkin ign switch or a relay cuz all the fuse are good its on a s13

put 12v across the coil, you can use a 9v battery also to test and ohm out the contacts and see if they open or close depending on the type

well first of all what did you do before when the car was running... need more info on what did you do. try unplug the fuel pump harness in the back of the trunk and test it if there are any power, if not try just replacing a known good relay if that dont work then it might be your fuel pump or your ecu...

Ok let me some this up for you guys that dont under stand sorry about that.

i did nothing differnt other the put it on the battery charger all night long..

This is what i found out i bypassed the igntion switch by pretty much hotwirein it and its cranks over starts then stalls would that be cause by the switch or a relay

Update i jumped the accesery and the yellow and blk wire from the battery and it started and stayed runnin so i figured it was the igntion switch swaped it out and still nothing what else could it be

also where does the igntion switch get it power from what relay or fuse cuz i checked the fues and relays and theyy where all good

make sure the clutch interlock switch is ok. jumper it. or look at the green fusible links. its not obvious when they blow. test for continuity

seems like it might be the blue relay in between your battery and fender.

a few months ago i was having the same problems you where having and that ended up being the problem. there is a way to jump the relay, but i don't remember which prongs i crossed. i since got a good one from a friend and its started up just fine ever since.
