is there any way to set up the stock navi to view dvds?

hi guys im new here, but ive been reading the forum for a while lol and i m just wondering if there's any way to set up the stock navi to view movie/burned dvds?

As far as I can remember from my purchasing days ... no. The input in the dash is not even a DVD drive from what I was told ... but like i said, that is just from the top of my head from researching it last year so ... could be wrong

cuz i've seen my friend using his 06fx35 's stock navi to watch somedvd movies...maybe im wrong LOL~

There is a way to do it. My friend has an 06 pathfinder with the navi. he told me he bought a chip or something and it works fine. I'll find out the details this weekend and let you know next week. It can deff be done though.

of course the drive is a DVD drive....how else would it read the map DVDs

again, that unit is a plug and play unit, not a universal unit... here are the vehicles that that unit is mentioned to be compatible with according to PAC-audio's website (peripheral and pac units are identical)

now, what may be an option is the universal add on unit, but that requires cutting, soldering, and modification, and is not readily reverseible, here's the universal unit...
