?????????

its seems to me that my engine gets quite hotter compared everyone elses, but i am not too sure about that so i would like to give it a test and see the results. My temperature gauge on the dash seems to be fine and it stays at half all the time. But when i open the hood and feel my engine, it seems to be way too hot that normal. I may just be worrying too much but i still would like to find out for sure if this is normal for a KA24DE engine. you never know i might be right but i hope the engine is perfectly fine.

any help is appreciated.

The stock temperature gauge is just a three position indicator: cold-warm-shut it off or it gonna die. If you want a real indication of the engine temperature then you need a water temperature gage. The probe will mount in the coolant stream from the radiator. You can either drill out and tap the coolant bleeder screw in the upper intake manifold or buy a temperature sensor coupler to splice into the upper radiator hose. I don't recollect what too hot of a temperature would be, but I don't see anything more than 200º.

I think he means fahrenheit, 200 celsius is extremely hot.
