I always wondered if you can make that sweet V8 power run through a manual transmission of some sort. I think it would make a sweet racing car all stripped out.

It's pretty heavy as a starting point.

Do a search on T-56 and you will see an adaptation for installation in a Z car.

You can buy an adapter plate to connect the trans from the 300zx Z32.

You need to talk with a "450zxtt" on this board. He has the info on the plate.

Also, there is a guy out there somewhere that has connected a T56 trans to the VH45DE. The last I heard of it, he still has not installed the engine/trans combo in the car so we don't know how it runs.

I personally think the Z32 setup is the way to go... Better gear ratios....
