I did what Float said to do by directly putting a short wire from the relay area to the pump directly this got the pump working again. when i try to start it still does not start. I take off the spark plugs to see if they are wet but they are pretty much dry. when I take a multimeter to the 2 father slots for the relay I get 11 volt. (this is the signal line to close the relay. Is there any way to check to see if the ecu is working properly? I'm not sure if the ECU is sending the signals for the injectors.

Check the CAS. It is the thing thats bolted to the front of the timing belt cover. Remove it and then have a friend turn on the ignition. Once he does, start turning the imput shaft. You should hear the injectors clicking. It shoudl be pretty evident. If you don't then either the CAS is bad, the ECU is bad, or you've got some sort of wiring problem.

i had this problem before.Well take the cas out and rotate it yourself if it clicks then you fine. Then take those injector testers see if any power is going to them. Most likely you have a shorted fuse man.

I did what float said I had my bro start the car while I rotate the CAS, I hear a click but I'm not sure if its the injectors.

euroboy - are you telling me to do the same, let someone start the car while rotate the CAS or just rotate the CAS to here if the CAS is clicking? What kind of tester for the injector?

One more question. Does the engine have to be ever started to check for error codes? I tried checking for error codes but when I turn the adjusting screw clockwise it doesn't even light up the tell you which mode to select.

get a voltmeter check the OHMs on the injectorsthe get the tester a LIGHT where you plug it in the injector cable to see if you have power going to it.I say check the fuses first

the cas just take it out and rotate it yourself if you hear it clicking and no obstroctuions then it's 90% fine. But i think you have no fuel.

Is your two Ecu light are lighted? if not your ecu is not getting any power. And if you cannot even get the flashing light to select wich mode you want.. maybe your Ecu is the faulty partgood luck

I'll try getting a tester for the injector, I'm getting the fuel I can tell by the fuel lines they are not soft as before I did the direct connect to the fuel pump.

About the ECU I still get the close signal for the relay but the ECU doesn't light up to let me know which mode to select. If the Relay is getting the close signal then the ECU is getting power right? I also suspect it is the ECU that is fualty. When I received the ECU with the engine it was kinda banged up the ECU had a couple of dents on the top and bottom plate and I hammered them out.

I'm kinda far from you. I'm in Bellflower, about 15 mins north of Long Beach. Maybe I can go to you sometime. Do you think it'd be okay with you If I took my ECU and try it on your car? That would be the easiest way to test it.

its not a good idea to use a multimeter of ohm meter on injectors wires this can and has 'upset' the ecuto check injector pulses you shouold use the proper tool for the jobthey are called 'noid' lights they plug in to the injector plug and 'light' when pulse are being sent

they are not expensive to buy

that's what they are calledplug that in and crank the carif they blink up then you getting fuelthen use the voltmeter to test the injector THEMSELVES for the resistanceor the best way is take out a spark plug andd see if fuel spurts out!i still don't think it is an ecu issue mani had the same thingbut if it was ecu foulty there shouldn't be any spark

I tried cranking with the spark plug out and no fuel come out, also I don't get any spark too, but I only tried cylinder 1 for spark, with New recommended spark plug (NGK)

I would like to thank you guys for the help so far.

cuzan0 - I'll really try to get some time to meet you, when are you free? you have any days off that I could drive out to you.

Thanks,kim
