cdorhout got one and it fits perfectly with his stock turbo. After talking to him, I think he is a little too excited about how high the quality, fit and finish is.

are you using a mount kit on your car or did you use the r33 subframe?

also it look's like it would still rub?

did you get the screamer or the street one?

He's using Top Hat mounts. You can see them in the pic.The black brackets holding up the motor.I think he said in the Group buy thread that it just misses. Not sure though.

Yes, I am very excited about it. Right now, I'm sitting in the corner rocking back and forth rubbing lotion on it. That's not weird is it?

It fits great. I have S14, McKinney mounts. It clears my steering shaft by a little less than 1/4 inch.I'd definately recommend it.

thats exactally why i didnt want that group buy to happen on here

1 car it fits perfect, other one it rubs the steering shaft.

if you can clear about 2"+ from the steering shaft, i think the downpipe should be better fit universally.

also, hte wastegate dump tube doesnt need to be that long, which can save some space.

FAB SUGGESTION: use 2.5" then merge to larger size after the steering shaft. this will help you make better fit with all mounts

Yes you are correct. Nothing rubs but its very hard to see. You probably got a couple to a few millimeters between.

Im sure it will but as long as it clears Im and a few others are happy until then. Plus it looks like its the only after market option unless you fab one up yourself. When or if it hits we will know and can modify it. Until then it looks good.

I have not heard back from a couple people, but out of the 5 that I heard back from it fits. So far non of the RB downpipes that AM Performance has sold have not fit (after the initial guinee pig).

This does not mean it will 100% fit your car. If you have a tweaked chassis or custom mounts, there is a possibility it will not fit. No fitment problems so far is pretty good imo. That's more than can be said about any other downpipe that I know of.

when using mount kits ive found that they never place the motor in the same place in every car.its easy to duplicate where stuff was using the xmember method but with a mount kit its hit or miss...therefor not the elbow's fault but more of the mounts fault.why does this work? because it was designed for cars using a r32 xmember ala the r32 chassis...bronzemfp was THE original guinnea pig for these he took the chance and we helped andre develop a universal part.worst case scenario is that you want a little bit more room than 1/8" of an inch, well thats fine and dandy but all you need to do is give it a good whack with a ball pein hammer.the elbows work and they work well, they offer more clearance than any std turbo elbow that ive seen and fix a common problem.
