Is there a way to "chrome-ify" the top of the moustache?

I've seen people color-match painting the chrome moustache, but I haven't seen much discussion on chroming the top of the moustache that comes color-matched from the factory. I love how it looks on the Altima sedan, and I think it would look equally as hot on the coupe.

Let me know if you don't understand what I'm asking and I'll try to clarify.

i understand what you're saying, and there is a way to do it... you would just need to get a strip of chrome plated metal (most likely alluminum, or maybe even plastic) cut to the specs of that area at a machine shop. From there, you would need to just add double sided tape (preferably 3M tape) and there you go.

Sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth, huh?

Anyone have any pics of this done, or know someone who has done it?

They make chrome-style paint.

http://www.duplicolor.com/prod....html

You'd have to paint the bottom of the 'stache to make it match, but it might be a cool mod. Don't know much about the quality of the Dupli-color product, but I do know that House of Kolor makes a paint called Kosmic Krome that emulates chrome, so if you wanted it professionally done, it could be done and look tight.

I honestly was at one point considering flipping the script and chroming the entire honeycomb grille with the Kosmic Krome - that would look insane!

Hmm, interesting with the chrome paint! That's actually what I was hoping somebody would come in here with!

So, say I wanted to do that. Would I want to sand down the current chrome pieces and then paint them with this stuff?

What would be the painting procedure? Sand the piece down, primer, a couple coats of the chrome, then a couple clear coats? How does that work? I'm a noob, so help me out if you can.

Lastly, can you buy these parts separately from a nissan parts supplier? I tried looking last night at a couple of Genuine Nissan Parts sites, but came up empty handed. I would be more inclined to do this if I could test it on some dummy pieces first.

Thanks! If you guys can help me find answers to these questions, I really might do this if it's not too much for all the test parts and paint! Many pics would follow, of course.
