Hey guys its clutch time for me and I am looking at twin disks but there is no way in hell I can withstand that chatter that are on all the youtube videos. Do all the twin disks make that racket?

Are you talking about engagement chatter or the discs rattling together when the pedal is depressed? I think the rattling together is a given because there are multiple discs and nothing keeping them from rattling against each other. Not sure about engagement.

Mainly when clutch petal is depressed. Does that go away if you release petal in neutral?

i had a ogrua twin disc on my 26, it was super loud but now i have a comp clutch twin disc. the metal discs are much tighter on the flywheel so you can hardly hear it. i love the clutch and its good for 850ft lbs... but you have to call and order it, they dont offer it online anywhere.

I am thinking about a carbonic twin disk, but i heard one on you tube and it sounded terrible. Do you have any info on ogura? I tried googling them.

I daily a Carbonetic Twin Plate and don't get chatter. By far the friendliest daily multiplate I've owned.

Have you used that hydraulic throw out bearing by quartermaster yet? i was at a shop this weekend and saw some, sweet setup but i would have to go with the push clutch for it to work as i have a pull r34 gtst trans.

yes, it does go away whenever the pedal is released regardless of gearbox position. the chattering is a property of the multiple clutches rattling against the "floating" flywheel. on a twin disc you have one floating flywheel. on a triple disc you have 2. when you are in neutral with the pedal released, the clutches are engaged and thus not chattering against the floating flywheel(s). just like why you don't hear the chattering when you're cruising on the road in any gear.

I have a NISMO Super Coppermix twin disk clutch. Absolutely no chatter or noise, when depresse or pressed. Clutch is a little stiffer than stock, but WAY easier to press than my brother's single plate ORC or my buddy's OS Giken twin plate. I absolutely love the clutch, wouldn't buy any other since owning this. If you got the cash, I highly recommend it.
