Hey all, i've had an incredibly difficult time finding a replacement manual 5 speed for my 93 D21 2x2. I was wondering if other regions were also experiencing this. I'm talking about finding units in good condition from local wreckers or Craigslist for $250~350. I have no trouble finding 240sx boxes, which has me wondering if they are interchangeable with truck boxes. They look identical externally, but i would imagine the gear ratios may be different. Is there a trans guide somewhere here that could help me out?

Probably the best bet to compare them is to look at the FSM and see what the differences are. Nissan has a lot of interchangeable parts, so if they are different, it might just be a matter of swapping one or two parts.

It's not hard to find, IIRC the v6 trans is the same minus the bellhousing...
