Well im sure the cable didnt snap... reguardless the point is the fuel door wont close and i have to replace it. And everyone here knows more about the 240 then i do so i was hoping for a solution besides bending in the latch and forcing it shut, which is what im currently doing.

So... anyone got any clues for me?

the piece that has the latch that holds your door shut is plastic with a threaded body that goes through, and a plastic nut threads onto it. Its pretty common for them to break. I always keep an extra at my house because they fit in your pocket when you are at a junkyard. they are a ***** to get to and to replace, because you have to run the cable to them again, but its not something that an hour and a friend to help get it working again can't fix.
