Hi folks,
My last post was 3 years ago when I acquired my 2009 M45S. It has been 3 years of bliss with the rocket. That said, I have been car shopping and am at the proverbial 'fork in the road' IF I decide to part with my baby:
Get screwed on the trade-in, or sell on web classifieds (ebay, NICO, craigslist, autotrader, etc.). Based on the huge gap trade-in value offered so far ($17K/$18K) and what I am seeing as a 'market value' on KBB/NADA and classified sites (great condition retail, $26K-$30K), I am leaning toward splitting the gap by marking to 'sell fast'.
So I wanted your opinions: either (a) sell the $63K stickered, 4yo, pampered, serviced and loaded cream puff for a 'song' in the low $20ks, or (b) avoid the possible poor market for a RWD sport sedan in the sometimes-wintery northeast (NJ) along with the hassles of selling/listing/dealing with oddball strangers, etc.
The car is amazing. Dealer maintained at every recommended interval... I have 4 snows on separate alum rims... almost every option possible that year (see below)... 62K highway miles... never even a shopping cart's worth of damage/accident.
So don't answer that I should NOT sell (a possible option)... just give me your opinions on IF I do sell, do you think I will struggle for months to find a buyer (even at a bargain price) and endure creepos and headaches?
