I was wondering if there is a diffrent's between the nissan sr20det and the infinity sr20det because i want to put a sr20det in my 240sx and i found a place that is selling the infinity sr20det with waterpump wiring harness ecu, ect but i don't want to spend the money if it will not work and according this site this engine is only for the infinity g20 can you let me know if there is a diffrents?
there might be a difference in the intake manifold. I know there is a difference in the exhaust manifold. The G20 is FWD and the 240 is RWD so the engine might have to be modified to fit the RWD platform

the head is different and so are the manifolds ( exhaust and intake). i'm sure there are other differences too but those are the ones that i'm sure of.just buy a rwd sr for a rwd car and you'll be much happier.

The engines are completely differerent and WILL NOT interchange.
Not totally true...the Infinity G20 DID have to option for the SR20DET here in Japan, although the US models didn't.
FWD SRs cannot be used in a RWD application...completely different! You need to use a Silvia or 180SX motor in your 240SX. A FWD SR can be used in the Sentras & G20s though...
