im just wondering, if i were to buy an s14 with the ka24de engine with an automatic transmission, would i have to change the engine as well if i were to do the 5 speed swap with the transmission? can i use the same engine that was hooked up to the auto transmission? or do i have to get a new engine as well? im pretty sure i could use the same eninge, but just wanted to double check.

thanx

You can keep the same engine and just do a 5 speed swap.

I did this swap and im just running the auto ecu. you dont need to use the 5th gear sensor or neutral position sensor either.
