VG's have a cast iron block, no sleeves. The NA and TT are the same block, the only difference in the lower end is the pistons and wrist pins. There are other subtle changes like oil pump, oil squirters pointed differently, oil filter tree, oil pan, and I think a couple other things.

Pistons are a higher copression 10.5:1( I think) and TT are 8.5:1(I think). NA's can maybe handle 5-6 psi before the pins just say screw you.

Search for this stuff, all over the place, but a lot will say don't do it. I am right there with them, Just get a TT engine, put headers and do the single turbo on it that way. Another option is to rebuild and replace the pistons and pins and set it up for a turbo. The heads will flow a little less, but it will work.
