I bought the 2nd G37 in Tennessee . In August 2007, the door sill covers were only available with in a solid metal with the Infiniti logo. Recently, a lighted Infiniti door sill cover has been made available. Is there a dealer conversion for my solid covers to the lighted covers? If so, how much might the conversion cost?

Yea it's an option package, illuminated kickplate, I believe it was around $250, not sure what labor would be. Also the base G would be extra, something about it not haviing the base wiring. Your local dealer should be able to give you the cost for the installation.

Gives me an idea, on another forum G owners are going crazy replacing their stock lights, map, vanity, door, license plate and even tail lights with brighter cool white or even UV LEDs. Having a Red G, I'd like to go with this and pop a Red LED in there to have the letters glow red, that would be pardon the pun hot...

I have an "Ask a Tech" inquiry submitted to my local dealership regarding this conversion right now. As soon as I hear back from them, I'll let you know what I find out.

I found another thread about this on *edited by mod...please do not send people to other forums* with detailed pictures, order numbers, and all the necessary information to purchase and install the illuminated kickplates. It'll cost you about $250 and 2 hours to install.
