I am having problems starting may ka24e. The engine turns over fine but does not start. This all started when it started to get cold and stopped when the weather out of no where got nicer again. I live in Brooklyn, New York. Now it is cold again and it is a pain. I know some cars have a cold start valve but does the 240 ka24e have one?

No this model changes the pulse duration of the injectors when cold. The coolant temp sensor is used to tell the control unit the engine temp.

check your battery.

if it doesn't have enough cold cranking amps, it won't start in the winter (espeially in extreme cold). the engine will turn over and all the accessaries will work, but it won't start.

i wish i could remember how many cca the KA needs.:(

I put in a new battery a month ago when i changed the alternator. I was also thinking about sticking valves. I don't know if it is possible to stick?

On that model, make sure and check the start signal fuse in the fuse panel for being blown or MISSING. If this occurs what will happen is you will have to keep cycling the key and turning the engine over repeatedly until the fuel pressure builds up enough to start the engine, reason being the fuel pump does an initial run when the key is cycled from the Engine Control Unit. Seen several cases where the fuse was missing, and in the winter months, the hard start condition exist. I would start there.
