Well, you can simply add denatured alcohol to the mixture, thats all they do. Alcohol doesn't freeze. The purer the source the better it will resist freezing.

Actually, everything freezes, but some things just do it at incredibly low temperatures. Think nitrogen or oxygen..

Does denatured alcohol corrode aluminum? It's been a long time since chemistry, how much do I need to add to 1 gallon to drop its freeze point by 20 degrees (form a -65 freeze point down to -85)? Or could some one give me the formula so I could figure this out.

It might be better for me to go and buy a Refractometer but I can't find one that goes that low, usually stops at -60

Cryofuzion uses CO2 to chill intake airmy idea was a little differant. It was to use CO2 as a chiller for the liquid inside an air to liquid intercooler.

Another idea is to use dry ice instead of regualr ice to cool off the water.

I was thinking about that to but I can find CO2 a lot easier than dry ice. Plus I could turn CO2 on/off from inside the car. I could run a smaller reservoir tank because I don't need a lager filler opening to pour in the ice. I could adjust the temp to what I want when I want from inside the car no need to get out and go under the hood.
