Is the steering rack on the S13 interchangeable with the S14?

Some guy my bf knows supposedly allowed his gf to drive his S14 one day, when he got it back from her the car drove strangely so he took it into NTB. NTB gave it a look over and told him that both tie rods were bent, and the steering rack was damaged (somehow). So my bf tells me this and wanted to know if the S13's rack was interchangeable since my dead white S13 has been in my driveway for a while. My assumption is that they are not. Doesn't it have to do with length/etc?

IMO, I don't think this guy's girlfriend messed up his car without (sobbingly) telling him about it. My better judgement leads me to believe this guy had a 'drifting' accident (since he hangs out with the other corny 'drifters') and probably plowed the already poor-running S14 into a huge curb.

I dont think so. Evrything Nissan has two different prices listed for the S13 and S14, so I ASSUME theyre not the same part...

Yes, they are.

lots of people put S13 Hicas racks into S14s so it must be fairly easy.

Seriously? Cuz I know the non-HICAS s13 guys use those racks all the time, but had been wondering if we could lately. SWEET.

Well, turns out the guy tried driving it (don't know why??) and it crapped out on him so he had to take it to this Z-car dealership/shop. They are going to tear him a new one, i just know it.
