Is the starter in a KA24DE the same as a KA24E?

Also i need an exact instructions to swap a KA24E transmission on to a KA24DE. I need to know about the electrical wiring. is it the same or do i have to splice alot of wires and sutff

The KA24e (89-90 single cam) and KA24d (91-94 dual cam) each utilize the same transmission. You can bolt the 5-spd from any s13 onto any other s13. The 5th-gear, neutral and speed sensors have identical connectors (I believe). If you run into wiring incompatabilities, just splice the 91+ harness connectors (clips INTO the transmission female connectors) into the 89-90 harness (male connectors attached to engine/transmission wiring harness). That should do the trick. Hope this helps.
