right now i am running a pretty much stock red top sr20det. i love the car. my friend has a stock rb20 that he wants to trade me. i dont really drift or autox so the weight doesnt matter. i am just worried i wont be able to upgrade the rb as eaisly. i have a power goal of 300 whp. is this eaisly acheivable? are the rbs reliable. any input would be nice

this has been covered many times guys, obviously in the RB section we are going to say RB heh, BOTH motors can make 300 with BPU for around same price, hell SR might be easier since parts are readibly available, the best thing about a RB is the fact that is ia RB, you own a peice of one of Nissans legendary cars, its bragging rights, for not only having it, but when you install it your self you come to appreciate the intricatrices (spelling) of it. honestly i say stick with the SR just for the facts its already installed, in stock form the rb will make slightly more power, but meh

Why go through the hassle? Just keep the SR.

I've owned an RB20DET and now have a built RB25DET. It's a lot of work and a hassle, and the RB20DET factory turbo is pretty weak overall. Keep what you have and improve it... That's my 2cents.
