I replaced my radiator fan (the smaller one, connected to the radiator) with one from a Sentra today, because mine was broken. The only thing different about the Sentra one was the connector, so I wired the connector from my fan onto it. I know it works, because it would spin when I hooked it up to a battery. But when I put it in my car (93 hatch), and turned the engine on, the fan would stay still. My question is, should the fan start spinning whenever I turn my car on, or is it only supposed to kick in when a certain temperature is reached? Thanks.

It should come on when you turn on the ac or if the temp gets to high.

I turned my AC all the way up, but the fan doesn't move. I know that the motor in it is good, because I tested it. I'm guessing it must be an electrical problem. What should I check?
