Can't seem to find the President anymore on the Japanese website. A lot of additional goodies seem to have been moved to the Cima platform, including AWD.

The Teana may be the new Maxima model.

If true, does this mean a new President is forthcoming?

Hey, I think you're right. Hope there is a new President, but with Renault being in charge, this may be the future, fewer platforms with more variants of the same model.

There will have to be a big improvement on the Cima to look anywhere near as good as the President. It had that Rolls Royce sorta look, but with attitude.

Yep, it's not on the site. I did pick up a President brouchure when I was in Tokyo in September. I have a feeling it's only offered as a special-order vehicle, so maybe taking it off the website makes it more exclusive or something.

It is pretty small compared to the Toyota Century, even with extended wheelbase. Maybe they're working on something bigger and wider -- or giving up on the luxoboat market entirely.
