Is the parking brake supposed to be on an angle?

The parking brake in my 240 is on a slight angle, facing the driver, is it supposed to be like that? I want to change the stockboot anyways cause it looks really ugly, does pretty much any universal parking brake attatchment work on the 240sx?

BTW I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx RPS13

mine is also at an angle and nothing seems broken or anything so I assume its supposed to be that way. "attachment" ? If you mean boots, i'd say no. the little handles you can buy on like ebay and what not are supposed to fit...

Yeah mine angles toward the driver side. Not to mention it pulls up super high. I think there's only a fist length between the tip of the ebrake and the steering wheel when I'm parked...

Mine is like that too, I thought it was broken, but it works fine, so I dunno.
