Has anyone noticed whether or not the new Infiniti Q lines are using the same style "Q" badge on the rear decks as our older Qs used? I keep trying to figure out whether they recycled the original design or if they modified it slightly. Even looking at pictures online, I can't really tell for sure. Anyone take a close up look at the new ones and compare it to theirs?

It looks like the custom Q font design is more traditional than the "long tail Q" custom design released on for the original Q product.

As you can see in the following picture the Q tail extended below the 4 where the new Q tail is shorter and less flamboyant.

As a side note, neckties (on average) were wider in 1989 than today so the Q tail length may follow some general style appeal that changes over the years.

Does anyone know the significance (or reason) for the Q model designation? A few of us on here know the answer.
To me that seems to a powerful marketing story lost in the shuffle of rushing product to market.
