I dont know if my engine is messed up or not but my engine gets pretty loud when im driving. When i take my foot off the gas the engine gets pretty loud and i have to keep a bit of force on the gas pedal to prevent the screaming of the engine. Is this normal on KA24DE engines?

thanks guys really appreciate the help

Kinda makes like a redline noise or close to redline. And this is when its between 1-4k RPM.

you are being kinda vague, do you mean it sounds like its revved up at low rpm's? do you have stock exhaust? check for exhaust leaks.

Mine made the same noise in fourth gear between 1.5-4K rpm. it turned out to be that one of the bolts from the exhaust manifold to cat pipe was broken. Check the bolts around there or your AIV pipe for leaks.

I think the ka engine is a little louder than most other 4 cyl engines. I think a lot of noise is from the timing chain.
