Is the KA24 in the 240 any different than in an Altima

My question is this: Is the KA24DE in the 240sx the same KA24DE found in the Altima. Besides the obvious differences, RWD vs. FWD configuration and transmission, are the actual engines and electronics related components any different. The reason I ask is because I have a 1995 Altima 5 spd, the the check engine light came on. I found a great article at 240sx.org regarding the ECU trouble codes for the 240sx and how to read them. My question is does anyone know if these trouble codes will also apply to the Altima? I have searched and searched for Altima specific trouble codes, but I have come up empty. Thanks in advance.

They are NOT the same. The altima head is different, becuse the distributer is in a different place. I think the block is slightly different too. I do know the head is not swapable.
