Is the Haynes owner's workshop manual a good book to buy?

Hi guys. Since i got my '88 HB truck (sicky truck for the moment, hoping to fix it soon) and also an '87 pathfinder i thought it would be a good idea to learn more about my two cars and not just to drive them. I was thinking about buying this Haynes Owner's Workshop for nissan trucks and pahtfinders. I saw this used book in a bookstore around here and it says it covers 1980 to 1988 2wd and 4wd gasoline trucks and pathys so, i'd like to buy it. Is that haynes book good? does it covers important stuff for Z24 engines like sensors, injectors, computer codes and stuff like that? will you recommend this book?

Haynes manuals are terrible, they're the crap of the crap. Chiltons are better, but if you really want something to cover it all, search the inet or ebay for a factory service manual (FSM) ... it's worth it's weight in gold!

It's better than nothing, and FSM's can be pricey - the ones for your truck are out of print, so watch used bookstores or ebay for one.
