Is the Hardbody engine and the 240 engine interchangeable?

Is the engine in the 1990 nissan 240sx and the nissan hardbody completely interchangeable? I have been told both but i have as of yet to find out for sure.

the block and head are the same, the intakes and exhausts are different. i think, but im not sure, that the cams are different. i most definitely used a hardbody head on my ka23e. thats before i scrapped it for a de.

ok the KA24E in my 240 is locked up and i dont know if i can fix it but i can get a whole motor from a hardbody for 200 but i have been told only the blocks were the same and that everything but the intake and valve cover is the same.

the block and head are identical. the intake, valve cover, and exhaust are obviously different. you can tell just by looking at them. so just swap the long block and your gtg

ok so i should just be able to switch the intake, valve cover, and exhaust and drop it in then right

the cam has a different grind on it so you may want to switch them out but its not required, and there may be a few sensors that need switched but if your confident you can swap out the long block than you should be able to manage the rest. just dont throw anything away!

not so sure on the confident part. but i am the only there is to do it and it needs to be done so ill give it a shot.
