Seems like the G35 is the new skyline. I could be dumb and have never known this, but personaly this is a shocker.

Any more info on this ?

The G is one of the Skyline models.

But the GTR will be with AWD and twinturbo 3.5LV6 (according to some) or with VK45DE V8 (according to others).

Fred...:)

yeah the G35 sedan is infact the V35 skyline. The G35 coupe is the Z33 with infinity clading and 2 more seats.

I for one love the G35 coupe. The sedan doesn't do much for me, but damn the coupe is oh so nice.

been here since april '02, I'm in the military stationed here. Leave in april '04 (thank god), 2 years is enough for me. It's ok over here I guess, nothing special. It's like chinatown in new york, except you can't leave.

Yes it is. To prove it, check out the TOP SECRET's GTR (G35 coupe) or taka under nissan. look at the body kits. The G35 comes up as a skyline.

No it's not. The G35 coupe is the Skyline 2 door. It' s not the Z33 with two extra seats. The Fairlady and the G35 coupe (new 2 door skyline) are two different cars. I.E. http://www.takakaira.com/aerok...cat=4 (if this doesn't take you straight to the picture, then click on the Data System body kit section and click 350gt)

i cant find anything on google, mabye you could enlighten us with a link? last time I checked they havent released the R35 GTR, the V35 is the sedan platform (availible with AWD), and the Z33 is the platform for both the G35 coupe and the 350Z

differences in the G35 coupe and 350Z are cosmetic.

EDIT: you are right about the G35 coupe being sold as the skyline :beatfreak Its still based on the Z33 platform though ;)

Try my second post. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I said 350gt but check the back of the coupe. You can clearly see where it saysS K Y L I N E on the rear.

The infinity G35(V35 in japan) is the new USDM Skyline. A R35 GTR AWD model is 'suspected' to released in '06-'07' . The current G35 is like the R33 GTS-T RWD models. Hope this helps some :)

still a Z33 chassy, or it just happens to have the same shape, same motor and same suspension. Nissan would be foolish not to share platforms, its cheaper that way. Although looking at my current correctness record im probably dead wrong, i got to start shuting my mouth :(

I thought they disontinued the Skyline after the R34. Maybe when they said discontinue, they meant that body style. I like the new model, as well as the Infiniti G35's. And just the other day I saw what I thought was a G35 Coupe but on the back right in the middle is said "S K Y L I N E". Surprised me~

Skyline doesn't mean "GT-R"They discontinued the GT-R with the R34 chassis.

That's like Honda stopping production of the Type R Integra. . . even tho they still make the LS and GSR.

The G35 / V35 Skyline represents the very FIRST LHD Skyline EVER produced.

SUPPOSEDLY the next "Skyline GT-R" will actually be a new car, on it's own chassis. . called the "GT-R"

But I'd still like to think it'll be a beefed up version of a regular Skyline. .

:werd:I can't believe someone actually thought it was a Z33. The intent of it, at least in the U.S. market, is to fill the void where the Z33 2+2 would have been, however. . so I can certainly understand the confusion.

no no no, i think it is BASED on the Z33 CHASSI. Would it really be hard for nissan to change the body panels and redo the interior?

To say the least, they do share the same suspension, motor, brakes, electronics, subframes, exaust, etc...

What does the G35 coupe look like more, the G35 sedan or 350z?

Ahh gotcha. . yeah, Nissan has cut back a lot on the # of dif. chassis they use. . And yes, it's the same FM platform that the 350z uses. . so yes, you are correct
