Is the bug shield from Wooddash.com for the sedan or the hatchback?

Or do both models have the same hood shape? I emailed them and they told me that the company that makes them didn't specify. Also, the site mentioned it's for the '07 and '08 models. Is the '09 any different? I have an '09 hatchback and would love to get one of these.

it will work. the only difference in the sedan and hatch is the rear end and something with the exhaust. 07-09 is all the same.

They look ok on the Versa. I still prefer the clearbra since it cover the entire front bumper.

BTW zach, did you ever get a chance to check out CONOC? We need more Versa's besides me!

Should fit both.

If you buy it please post a picture so we can see what it looks like.

My hood is starting to get tore up from all these rocks hitting it so I want one of these. It's only $70. Let me know how it looks and how the install was!

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks guys. I plan on ordering one next week. When I get it I'll take some pics and let you know how the installation goes. It seems like it'd be fairly easy. At the moment I'm trying to make a Tom Tom GPS unit fit into the cubby hole above the radio. I took off the little door and put the GPS mount inside so the bottom of the Tom Tom hangs right above the cd slot. Looks great so far! I'll take some pics of that as well once I finish it.

And Henry, I haven't had the time lately due to a big career switch, but I plan on doing it soon! I rarely see any other Versas around here and when I do, I get excited. It'd be great to meet up with you guys sometime, maybe even on the August 22nd meet. By then I should have a few new customizations to show off haha. I'm hoping to get my tinting done soon. I've heard some great reviews about All American Window Tint in Denver.

Hey guys!

I ordered the bug-shield from wooddash.com a little while ago, and I got in in today. It looks pretty good, very similar to the OEM one. I really wouldn't be surprised if it's the same manufacturer (Protrim Inc.). It installs with 4 clips on the front, and then two towards the corners that are screwed into themselves (it makes more sense if you've done it before).

I've heard from some that it causes a whistling sound on the highway, and someone wanted to know if you could see it while driving. I'll get on a little later with a brief review and some pics. Stay tuned!

If you have time while installing you should make a DIY tutorial for it, we dont have one for the bug (hood) deflector yet!

Hope it works great and doesn't whistle!

So, I'm back and the bug shield stayed attached to the car, always a good sign...

I didn't notice any whistling noises or any road noises beyond the norm, so I think that base is covered. And you definately CANNOT see the shield while driving, so sorry for those that have asked.

As promised, here's a few pictures taken with my phone (could be bad quality sorry)

The front view at about eye level looking on. Very similar looking to the Canadian OEM one

It's hard to see here, but the shield actually goes over the headlight just a little, but it doesn't touch or anything.

And my favorite view. I think it looks best from this angle.

I would have loved to have made a tutorial for this, but it was starting to rain and I was trying to get it on as quick as I could. It's really very simple, just be sure to follow the instructions and check over your parts CAREFULLY. I almost tried cramming a clip into a hole it wasn't meant to go into (that's what she said )

On a side note, I decided to take a video of my car with it's emergency light going, so feel free to take a look. I wasn't sure how to host a video in the forum, so here's the link:

Looks great! It looks very similar to the one I got from Nissan.

No whistling noise for you? Lucky ... mine whistles when I'm driving at high speeds on a very windy day. But you get used to it ! haha
